My Client-First Philosophy
I was born in Salem Oregon and have lived there most of my life. I married Cordie who is also from Salem. I still live in Salem but chose to do the commute to Molalla. It gives me the opportunity to cover and help people in a wider area that just in one community.
My back ground has prepared me well for working in real estate. My parents and grand parents were onion farmers in the Labish area just north of Salem. Grew up in the farming community with community clubs and school plays and picnics. Did go to Oregon State University and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering in Computers. Farming was still in my blood so I went home and farmed onions for 21 years. Unfortunately the future for small farmers turned out to be not as good as I hoped so in 1992 changed direction and went into real estate and that is where I have been for 15 years now. This has given me solid background in dealing with people, technology of these times, and dealing with the responsible handing of money and property. It has also given me the confidence to jump in and handle any and all situations that my come up in the transaction.
My greatest satisfaction is helping people get the home of their dreams. I tend to work where ever my clients want to live. I take special pride also in presenting my clients home that are for sale in all the right places. In this modern world where most of the people look on line for their new homes, is has worked out very well where I have the computer back ground that makes this easy and rich with new ideas of how to attract people to your listing.
My philosophy has been and always will be that if I can help you get all you want and need, and then all my needs will be met also.
There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.
That said, in my experience as a Salem real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.
This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.
